I have been involved in education since 1988 when I trained as a primary teacher in New Zealand.  I have since worked in the following roles:

  • Primary Teacher (Christchurch (NZ), London and Sheffield)

  • Primary  SENCo (Sheffield)

  • Support Teacher in the Autism Team (Sheffield)

  • Deputy Headteacher at Mossbrook Special School (Sheffield)

  • Headteacher Woolley Wood (Sheffield)

  • Headteacher Mossbrook Special School (Sheffield)

Through these roles and the work that I have done with children, schools and families I have gained the following experience and qualifications:

  • 11 years Senior Leadership Team

  • Headteacher for two school Ofsted inspections

  • Leading a residential unit

  • Being a Headteacher for four residential Ofsted inspections

  • Chair of Sheffield Heads of Special Schools 

  • Headteacher during a school rebuild project and two major capital projects

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Autism

  • National Professional Qualification for Headship
